Prior to treatment, you will be provided with details of the treatment and an estimate of the time involved and the fees.
Payment is expected at the time of treatment unless prior arrangements have been made with our Business Manager. Written estimation of fees will be provided for all scheduled treatment.
DENTAL INSURANCE
Many of our patients have dental insurance. It is important to remember that your dental insurance policy is an agreement between you (or your employer) and the insurance company. Dental insurance is considered a method of reimbursing the patient for fees paid to the doctor and is not a substitute for payment.
We are only a third party in this arrangement. We follow a program that simplifies the preparation of insurance claim forms thereby holding down these office costs which are unrelated to the delivery of good dental care.
The form we give you provides all of the information needed from us for your insurance company to process your claim. Simply attach this form to the one provided by your insurance carrier and submit it for processing. Please remember that no insurance company attempts to cover all dental costs. Some companies pay fixed allowances for certain procedures and others pay percentages of allowances. While we will be happy to provide all the information necessary for you to apply for payment, the payment schedule is a reflection of your own policy and is really determined by the premiums paid for the policy.
